In recent times concerns have been raised over the eco friendliness of plastic jewel cases and so card CD packaging has now become evermore popular. Card packaging comes in various shapes and sizes and detailed below are the prices for some of our most popular products.

Nowadays Sunday would not be the same without the ever present CD in Card Wallet given away free with your favourite newspaper. These are manufactured in the millions every week, being lightweight & cost effective. Also they resemble a small record sleeve and so they are ideal for promotion and CD single releases.

CD Digi-packs are cool, when we first saw one we were amazed, when we saw the price they cost to produce we were stunned. However these products are now a lot less expensive than when they where originally introduced, prices have dropped significantly making them viable option for lower volume releases that desire the wow factor. They come in a huge array of designs, with multi-page, multi disc options, with slits or pockets to hold CD booklets or even the Digi-file option that uses a slit to hold the disc instead of a plastic tray.

Further information on our CD Card Packaging Package Prices

All of the above CD card packaging package prices are for what we refer to as “shop ready” CD product. What this means is that the job will be delivered retail ready with the CD and print fully assembled with a barcode (if required, but recommended), digi-packs come shrink-wrapped as standard, card wallets can be wrapped at additional cost.

Below you will find information about CD album production and the elements that are included in our package prices. You can find more technical information on our blog, if you cant find the information you need on our site, feel free to contact us with any questions you have.

We only manufacture CD’s pressed from stampers made using the glass mastering process, we do not duplicate CD’s on recordable discs. All masters go through a thorough inspection prior to glass mastering to ensure the data is not corrupted and the master conforms to Red Book standard.

The maximum running time for an Audio CD is 79 minutes and 20 seconds, we are unable to exceed this time under any circumstances. The maximum data for CD ROM is 650mb.

The above prices also include the manufacture of Enhanced CD (Audio + Data). If you have a large amount of audio and data to be pressed on the CD please contact us to calculate the maximum audio running time with the data required.

All of our prices include printing on the CD in either full colour offset litho or up to 5 colour silk screen print. Offset litho printing is best suited to photographic printing or designs that contain a large amount of halftones and graduations. Silk screen printing is best used for large solid blocks of colour, as it gives better ink density. Silk screen colours should be selected from the PANTONE colour matching system. With silk screen print you can specify one of the colours as a spot gloss or spot matt for creative effects. Standard Card Wallets. The above prices are for our standard card wallets and include printing full colour on the front and rear of the wallet (4/0) with a gloss or silk finish. Depending on the orientation of the artwork the wallets can side or top opening. The material used for wallets is 200g white back card, made from 70 – 90% recycled board, with the rest of the material certified “durable management” by the FSC and PEFC.

Our standard wallet can be packed with a CD booklet from 2 – 8 pages in size. Please note we do not shrink-wrap CD card wallets as standard, if you require the wallets to be wrapped please add 3p per disc + VAT. We can also supply CD mailing wallets and lancing packs (card wallets with an additional flap), prices available up on request.

Al of our CD digi-packs are printed full colour on all panels (4/0) on 330g white back board. Our packs are made from 70 – 90% recycled board, with the rest of the material certified “durable management” by the FSC and PEFC. All of our digi-packs come supplied shrink-wrapped as standard, below is further information on each style of pack.

4 Page CD Digi-packs. Our standard 4 Page digi-pack prices above come with one black or clear digi-tray. We can also provide packs with a slit to hold a CD booklet or an additional digi-tray for a double CD release. If you are producing a dig-pack with a slit to hold a booklet, please do not use the specification above, as the panels fold in a slightly different way, specification available upon request.

6 Page CD Digi-pakcs. The above 6 Page digi-pack prices include one black or clear digi-tray. If you are you are looking for a double or triple CD release we can also provide designs with 2 or 3 digi-trays with various folding options. We can also supply packs with a slit to hold a CD booklet for styles with one or two digi-trays.

8 Page CD Digi-pakcs. Our largest digi-pack comes with 8 pages, this gives a wide range of variations for the number of digi-trays and slits for booklets. We would recommend speaking to an adviser to discuss your particular requirements.

CD Digi-files / CD Digi-books. If you would prefer a digi-pack type of packaging, but without the plastic digi-tray, we can also provide digi-files & digi-books. Essentially these are very similar to the digi-pack, however the disc slides into a slit on the inside panel (digi-file) or into a pocket (digi-book). The spine is slightly narrower to achieve a neat fold. We can also supply dig-files & digi-books with a slit to hold a CD booklet up to 16 pages in size in addition to the disc.

Our package prices include provision of an EAN13 barcode. The barcode is printed on the rear inlay, it’s entirely up to you where the barcode is printed on the inlay. Please leave a space of approximately 15 x 30mm on your artwork for us to drop the barcode into. It would help if you placed some text in this area saying “BARCODE”. All digipacks are supplied shrink-wrapped / Cellophane wrapped as standard. Card wallets are supplied without wrap, however we can wrap these at additional cost. All prices include delivery to 1 UK mainland address, if you require delivery to multiple addresses please add £ 25.00 + VAT per extra delivery address regardless of quantity.
